its pointless to for anyone to ***** about "extra testing". extra means just that...more than the standard. Whether people like it or not, drug tests are already in place that are mandatory and they do catch people. for some 20-0 challenger whos biggest win was a 43 year thompson, he doesnt get to tell the Champion of 10 years what to do and when to do it. Boxing is beyond a joke as far as a sport is concerned because of what you just mentioned. How much of a disgrace would it be if say the NFL had 5 different superbowl champions? where each team had different ways to reach that? i dont see one person in any of the other major team sports to demand a first baseman on a certain team to take "extra testing" or they wont play them.... boxing is a punchline in this era :-(

lance armstrong, evander holyfield, carl lewis... just three confirmed drug cheats never to fail a test. throw in mcguire, sosa, etc. every pro athlete on earth is on something. most athletes have been since at least the mid seventies.

Baseball and Boxing are 2 completely different things, and I can't believe you have the audacity to make such an asinine comparison. How many 1st basemen wound up like Magomed Abdusalamov?

Heavyweights today are bigger than they have ever been in history and can do serious damage so anyone ducking the best possible tests I don't respect. If Pulev can take better tests than the minimum required, so why can't Wlad, who is supposed to be the leader and face of HW world boxing. There's no excuse especially in a sport as dangerous as boxing.

So the leaders and faces of HW world boxing usually take random tests, is that what you're saying?

Bowe, Holyfield, Tyson, Lewis have a history of regular, random, Olympic style drug testing? And Wlad is that evil guy from the East breaking that historic lineage?

    :rofl:rofl:rofl

The problem is the various boxing organisations lack the courage to enforce better testing, and ultimately they would lose a lot of money if they did. The money in boxing is tied up in individuals. If one boxing superstar failed a test it would **** up them, their promoters, the tv stations and the boxing organisations who are in the promoters' pockets. If a player in a team sport (with a team of say 10 and a squad of 20-30) fails a test and is banned for say 2 years, then some money is lost, but the team is still there making money.

At the top level boxing is about building guys up to superstars and cashing in on two fights a year, whereas other sports have a weekly income which would be less affected by a drugs cheat.

What I'm saying is that Wlad is unwilling to stand up and set a precedent by taking the best tests available.

How the hell do you know "for sure"? :blood

Many athletes have cheated while having much, much extensive testing and only got caught in indirect ways passing all the tests. There even are some peds (like inhaling xenon) they even haven't found a way to test for, and probably a couple they don't even know exist or can be used as peds.

So you're saying Wlad has an obligation to us boxing fans to be the first boxer in the history of the sport by taking the best tests available throughout his career? Why Wlad specifically, I don't get it.

Pulev has been crying ever since this fight was signed. Even when it was postponed he couldn't wait to cry.
