Pulev will look back at this in 10 years and realize he occupied his mind with whinging and complaining rather than focusing his energy on knocking the **** out of Wlad.

When Sanders mopped the floor with Wlad... did he ever complain, ditch the press conference, cry about the gloves?

Respect to Pulev, but like Pascal for Hopkins II before him, you can't start saying these things after you already sign the contract without having brought them up. Having said that I also believe all athletes should want to be tested and any that get tested more than others earn my respect more than the peers who do less in that regard.

He's actually being generous on the conservative side. They were already widespread by the 1960's, and nationalistic propaganda aside, it wasn't just the commies using them. They were part of the U.S.'s training regimen and coaches were fine doling them out.

They were in professional football by 1963 courtesy of the league's first strength coach, Alvin Roy, a former U.S. Olympic trainer.

Olympic-wise, anabolic steroids couldn't even be tested for and weren't banned until the mid-1970's. By that time, the cat was long out of the bag. With no testing, ample evidence of their efficacy, no social stigma against using them, and the importance of Olympic success, user growth skyrocketed.

I'm sure if there was a master list of boxers who've ever used steroids or illicit PED's, many fans would be disillusioned and shocked at the names on it because it goes back further than anyone wants to believe.
