    Definitely.

    £10 on a stoppage in Round 8 I say.

I don't really rate Macklin at all and feel like he's only effective when he's 100% into a fight - like Sturm, Martinez. Not particularly great at anything and needs intensity to impose himself at the top level. Any drop in that intensity and he's extremely susceptible to being beaten by anyone with decent boxing ability.

Will have to watch some footage of Heiland, because at 6/1 he could be very good value.

Macklin did look poor in his last fight, winning a decision against a limited opponent, can see value in that 6/1

He's on the way out, Len, that's why.

He can't win his biggest fights, and like another poster said, if he isn't 100 'on' he looks very mediocre.

I think if Macklin does win, he'll cash out with a fight against Lee, as there's no way he's got another title shot in him.

I don't know if the penny has dropped with irish fans, but both Mack and andy are facing career ending fights. If either loses his next fight it is very hard to see where he can go....
It would be ironic ..and cruel luck...if Mack (IMO the better of the two) loses tomorrow night and andy Lee was to win versus Korobov...

True. Hence why I back the other feller to stop Matthew.

Mack and Lee should have got it on years ago.

I just think people are over reacting to some sloppy performances from Macklin, when in reality he has always managed to find a way to make hard work of "easy" fights. It doesn't mean he is washed up. Now if he can't raise his game against Heiland, that's a different story.

Remember too that martin Murray, Darren barker, etc Looked awful in "easy" fights. Andy Lee looks awful in almost every fight...yet no one writes these guys off because if it...so let's wait and see tonight.

But if he loses tonight...yes, it is over for him.

True, but he's never really won a meaningful fight.

I think he'll overlook the kid tonight and get a rude awakening.

Watched a bit of Heiland. A bit basic but has no problems letting his hands go and this was against Zbik, who is better defensively than Macklin and also has more range, so Heiland should have no problem having success. Problem he seems to leave himself extremely open so Macklin should be able to land pretty easily himself.

Good thing about Heiland is that he's got spirit and is not easy to deter, so I could see him getting the last word in the exchanges even if Macklin lands a few shots.

Also I'm not sure Macklin is too enamoured with the training situation. Can see a scenario a few months down the line where Macklin is ruing the Jamie Moore situation, how it affected his progression, and ultimately contributed to his defeat to Heiland.......
