John D. Jackson to Andre Ward: "Stop Picking On Smaller Guys And Fight Kovalev!"

Ward might surprise us but I doubt it

 

Ward has been inactive for a year he's not 100% at the top of his form right now. Ward has to shake off a lot of ring rust to be prepared for Kovalev.

 

I don't get it. So wouldn't Kovalev be picking on the smaller guy who campaigns at 168 by calling out Ward? Hypocrisy at its best.

 

I find Jackson's comments a bit amusing. He thinks Golovkin and Kovalev should be able to take on smaller guys in Mayweather or Ward, but it's wrong for the other two to be fighting guys in their own division?

 

Ward having to move up to 175 is about the same as him asking Golovkin to move up to 168. That is if he ever fights again.
Golovkin moving down to 154 to face Floyd at the weight he's 'champ' at is a completely different thing though.

Speaking about Ward. If he's being stripped of his title by The Ring soon due to inactivity and not having faced a top 5 contender for over 2 years now (or since winning the tile if you don't count Dawson), there's a good chance Froch and Abraham can come to some understanding for a rematch with the IBF/WBA/WBO/Ring titles on the line and start a new lineage that way.

ward has fought at higher then the weight he is currently fighting so that logic does not apply saying why is kovavlev picking on the smaller guy

 

Kovalev needs to stop picking on smaller guys and fight Marco Huck.
