Agreed. I think this is a tough fight for Wlad unless he lands a bomb early. Wlad is 38, and has a pregnant fiancé. Pulev is in his best shape in years and happens to be in his prime. For those unfamiliar with Pulev he's a mobile big man who can box.
Pulev's a legit #1 contender. The only Heavyweight challenger on his level is Povetkin. I'd favor no other active heavyweight to beat him, and Povetkin is a toss-up.
I think if Wlad can continue to dominate for 2-3 more years and beat this crop plus guys like Joshua (assuming he gets there) down the line, it would be hard to deny him a top 10 all time ranking at HW...and i'm not much of a fan.
Doesn't matter, the fight is not gonna happen. Dino has told me a thousand times Wladimir is never going to fight Pulev But honestly I agree with all these. It always helps a legacy to fight the #1 guys in the division. Even if it's not a good selling fight
posting a vid of povetkin beating up incompetent charr doesn't prove povetkin is good. its like posting a video of anyone beating up brian London.
Well it does because the same Charr gave Vitali hell for 4 rounds before he was stopped on a cut. Povetkin knocked Charr around like a ragdoll.
I'd ay Pulev had no chance against prime Wlad, but I give him a good chance against wlad of today . Wlad is definitely way past his prime, but I think he's still a favorite.
I think Vlad looks to be in great shape and so does Pulev and I think Pulev is a very tough opponent, big man, good chin and capable for 12 rounds. I rate Pulev and Povetkin very close at the very top of the division and feel they both beat Stiverne
