Tony has gone about being a Cruiser the wrong way. He couldn't have done it any worse, IMO.

Tony could have been SOLID at the weight. Worked his way up there by putting some quality muscle on. He's just let himself go and indulged in whatever he likes, in my view.

 

Bellew does have a horrible build for a athlete.

He has a kind of no tone baby build with sparrow legs.

With all due respect to Tony (because I am a fan of his), I think what he looks like now is what he looked like before a training camp when he was campaigning at LHW.

He could have been in serious shape at CW. But he just doesn't wanna know so it seems...

Well this is it...

Making weight is one thing, but to make weight and be in supreme condition is another.

I think Tony might have (not with this fight) cut corners (i.e.: no need to do 6 mile runs to keep on top of the weight/run twice a day to lose 2 stone etc) now that he's at cruiser and just relied on his power.

Look at Johnny Nelson at CW or Haye - they looked in great nick. Ok, genetics play a big part in it, but Tony was in shape at LHW. No reason why he cant be in good shape at CW.

Tony had to lose weight to get to LHW. The day he decided to go up to CW (after his last fight at LHW) he could have made serious inroads to be in supreme condition for the move above. He never.

Poor genetics or not, he still could have looked in great condition.

 

I know its really out of order, tony bellew is half pidgeon/half teletubby its harsh to criticize his physique with them genes.

 

Well Bellew never had any definition at light heavy, and now at Cruiser weight he still has none. The comment that Cleverly made about Bellew having bigger tits than his girlfriend obviously didn't sit well with The Bomber.

 

He's never been someone who looks muscular or ripped, even when he boiled down to LHW his abs didn't look like they were screaming to pop out whilst he did look gaunt in the face.

If a fighter can fight at a good hard pace for 12 rounds, that's what really matters. Bellew has looked fine over the distance previously.

I was never a fan of Bellews, and was glad to see Clev get the nod last time after all the **** talk, but i have a feeling bellew will have the last laugh this time, and wouldn't be surprised if he won by stoppage.
