Len stop pretending that Macklins a Paddy.

He's a Brummy, playing the plastic Paddy as most do over here.

Pretty sure my Mothers Cousins next door neighbour once drank a pint of the Black Stuff, so i guess i'd qualify.

    Len,

Tell me that story again about how Murray is one dimensional, and wouldn't stand a chance against Macklin.

You need to take them Green Goggles off my friend.

I look forward to your next list of excuses if Quigg beats your other prospect :D

Macklin has, to be fair, made his Irish roots known since his amateur days. But if he loves it so much, why not move there? It's only an hour away - What's the problem?

I would understand if he spoke Irish, was there 24/7, but he isn't. There's millions of people like him where he's from.

    Spot on.

Lots of Plastic Paddy's all around the world.

Like you say, if you love a place so much why live somewhere else.

Macklin is no more Irish than me, born in Brum, lives in Brum.

    Agreed.

If I walked to the ring wearing the Spanish flag on my shorts, played home-grown Spanish sports and done everything Spanish yet lived in Watford, where's the connection? And why wouldn't I just move there if I was that infatuated with it?

It's just smart business sense I think. He knows a lot of gullible Irish and Irish Americans will support him and so that means more money for him. He also knows that the equally gullible British fans will also largely continue to support him even though he publicly switched allegiances. So best of both worlds, financially speaking.

I bet on over 9.5 rounds but lost my bet with b365. Thought I was safe as round 10 started.

Will have to look at the rules.

i thought that KO was devastating ,nobody seemed to say much about it but he was out cold for a while and took ages to come round yet afterwards said he thought he was ok to carry on !!!

its possible to come back from them kind of KOs but they are never the same and Macklin seems to have a big dose of the 'Ricky Burns' '
