The official Wladimir Klitschko vs. Shannon Briggs saga: the "Cannon" laying siege

In reality Briggs and Klitschkos are friends. Klitschko team hired Briggs to do trash talking for making attention to their fights. And should they make the Briggs vs Klitschko fight? No, but I wouldn't be suprised if it happen next year. Briggs is better than Leapai or Mormeck, so no bad fight at all.

 

At least, Briggs has created excitement around the fight. Except for Povetkin and Publev, Grabimir has been fighting chumps for years. Why not Briggs and then Fury/Wilder or Stiverne in 2015 ?

I hate to tell you but there is no excitement about a potential fight between Briggs and Wlad. Maybe in your bedroom but nowhere else.

Briggs has done nothing to deserve a shot at the heavyweight title. Nothing.

 

What had Pianeta, Mormeck and Leapai done to ensure a titleshot ? Nothing at all. Briggs, at least, makes it up for a funny build up. And it's not like Clinchko couldn't fight three ou for times a year. He hardly breaks a sweat against these chumps. Give Briggs a payday !

 

Give Briggs a payday? Why? Because he's beat some part time security guards recently.

Pianeta, Mormeck and Leapai were weak opponents but Briggs would be much much weaker than all 3.

Funny build up's don't really cut it for me. Decent fight's do. And Briggs would be back in the hospital or ko'd within 3 rounds

 

Mormeck had at least beaten 2 recognisable names in Ibragimov and Oquendo in the build up to a title shot with Wlad which more than Briggs has done.

Pianeta had beaten two old timers and former champions in Botha and McCall which all Briggs is now an old badly faded former title holder. So even he was more worthy than Briggs.

Briggs has fought one name fighter in 7 years and got the worst beating of his life in that fight. Every other opponent he has faced in those 7 years are career journeymen. Briggs getting a title shot would be even worse that Pianeta, Mormeck or Leapai.

Yes..... Look at who Briggs has faced since coming back, Pianeta was undefeated and has solid wins over some good Euro level fighters, Mormeck was 3-0 with wins over Maddalone, Oquendo, and Timur Ibragimov.. None of those are world class fighters at this point, but they are all MUCH better than the names Briggs has faced since returning earlier this year, even Maddalone.

Not saying that those were great fights by any means, they weren't, but there have been far worse voluntary defenses in the HW division.

 

Briggs has nothing to bring to the table but a pineapple head. easy to hit a pineapple. he is damaged goods and way past his shelf life.

 

Nobody is at Wlads level. Just give Briggs a shot at the title. At least he does have a decent chin but that will get him killed probably.

I thought Pulev was going to be the toughest fight in years, he just toyed with him and knocked him the **** out.
