I train for two days straight
    rest
    then Thursday
    Friday is my cardio day
Saturday is sparring and Sunday is another rest day
    My regimen consists of
    A 2 mile run
    7 rounds of jump rope
    7 rounds speedbag
    7 rounds heavy bag
    5 rounds hitting the mitts
followed by some crunches, planks, push ups etc.
I noticed I was getting gassed hitting the heavybags today when usually I can sustain a decent amount of energy through it.
Am I not getting enough rest or what?

What weight are you and what's your diet and supplementation like?

Have you been ill or injured lately and when is the last time you took a rest week?

I'm not on a meal plan but I eat stuff like baked fish, steak, potatoes, veggies etc.
I have yet to have a serious health issue and I have yet to take a week off from training..feel like that'd just slow down progress in the gym..should I take a rest week?
    :huh

Looking at your program, it appears theres one thing that predominates. Think thats your problem.

You think because you had a bad day on the heavy bag you're over training? :huh

Although i'm a smaller HW @ 6'3 208lbs... I find that mixing in circuit training with weights and plyometrics as well along with skipping rope helps boost energy !!!!

here's the best video on burning calories and training to date. youtube.com What if Superman Punched You?

throwing one punch of 300 grams (average size a fist) at the speed of light would burn 45,400,000,000,000 calories or equivalent to burning off x81,818,181,818 big macs and would be equal to exploding 45 megatons of TNT.:yikes

HIT ****ING BAG! Work on your speed

Unless you are very very overweight and have only recently begun training then I would not think you are overtraining.
Perhaps you just had a bad day at the gym.

Well unless you follow a steady diet it can be hard to judge what the fall of energy is coming from

I'd suggest 4-5 meals a day breakfast- porridge and egg whites
Then each meal should not huge and contain either fish, lean chicken or steak , then a carb eg potatoes, sweet potatoes, brown rice , brown pasta and as many veggies as you like

I think you definitely might need a rest week and cardio day before sparring day should be changed if possible you want to have all your energy to perform and learn in sparring

I think going on a multi vitamin like pharmaton and fish oil would be positive too

How old are you as well mate and what height and weight are you?

Over training can be as damaging as not training at all mate

You aren't over training, if you were you'd know about it.

Also, take a week off because you had no energy during a workout? **** off. You don't need to take a week off, no good reason to do so.

Elite athletes over train. The general population under eat and don't get enough rest.

Yeah I'm only about a week into training so that'd probably explain it.

    I would have:
    1 day sparring
    3 days boxing skills/technique
    2 days roadwork (include intervals)
    1 day rest

There is no "overtraining" for 19 year olds! Lol

Just adjust you training time. Decrease the time but increase the intensity.
