wlads key to success is finding fans who will swallow defences against nonboxing fatties as world title fights.

The punch snapped Wlads head back and the force of it knocked Wlad back into the ropes, I wouldnt say he ran to the ropes. He then dodged 3 or 4 shots and spun off the ropes, not cowering there untill the end of the round.
Sure, I could see how 3 tko losses and 11 knockdowns would indicate a very poor chin. But when you factor in the fact that he never actually stayed down, and hasnt been knocked down in over 9 years, I would think it is more of an indication of poor defense.
Wouldnt you say that not being dropped in 18 straight championship fights over the course of a decade is an indication of an IRON chin:think
Obviously, due to that factors you stated, he obviously doesnt have an IRON chin, but due to the other evidence, it cant be GLAS S either.
Its gotta be somewhere in between

I merely commented on his chin, I never said that Wlad is not a great heavyweight. Unlike you, I do not subscribe into a retarted hugger/hater world view where a where a boxer is either an ATG or a total bum. The view on his chin, I call it as I see it, but there has been plenty of great fighters over the years with below average chins, that is just one attribute.

I don't think Lewis would have found it too difficult to make this a fight on the inside and Wlad has little or no in-fighting ability. But, I am unsure as to why you think Wlad's control of range/distance is all that.

Much of why Wlad ends up opting for the clinch'n'lean is because of his lack of ability to judge and react to his advancing opponent. Lewis would have capitalised on this, for sure, but could just as easily make it painfully awkward for Wlad from the outside.

So you're saying his chin would be rated better if he didn't get up those 6 times vs. Sanders and Brewster? He should have stayed on the floor like Lennox, then he'd have less knockdowns hence a better chin?

    Your ****ysis is flawed.

you are weighing the output of retired corrie sanders versus prime rahman, yes?

prime rahman killed prime corrie inside the distance.

not retired **** corrie. the ****ysis could not be more polarised in its evidence, they are two polar opposites.

The fact that he hasn't been knocked down for over 9 years is an indicator of his remodelled style under Stewart, which is based on Wlad's superb ability to control range, his great footwork and then the tying like an opponent like an octopus as soon as they get close. They very reason why his style was remodelled like that is an indicator of his weak chin. I mean look at his fights prior to Stewart, he had a much bigger variety of punches. For a while we didn't even see Wlad throw that deadly left hook, it was just jab and the right hand down the pipe.

I remember when Wlad first came on the scene. I thought he looked awesome and would be near unbeatable. I thought the same thoughts when Tyson was making his run through the division.

Watched the 1st bout with Brewster recently. Wlad averaged 62 punches per round. He started to breathe hard in the 3rd round according to Brewster. He got tagged with a couple good left hooks, and was simply finished in the 5th. He is not the type fighter who can absorb punishment without quickly wilting.

Compare the few times that Wlad was hit against Brewster and was finished with the punishment that an Ali, Foreman, Holyfield and others could take and stay on there feet and come back to win. That type of will or chin is what separates a top 1-10 ATG, with the others lower in the crowd.

In the Pulev fight, Wlad averages 18 punches per round. If a fighter lets Wlad fight at that pace he won't win. Wlad needs to be pushed. Those fighters don't seem to be around anymore.

Wlad has a great offensive ****nal, one of the greatest ever. It's that chin that leaves him vulnerable. Wlad though has been a remarkable fighter, his professionalism in the way he carries/represents himself and the HW Championship has been a credit to the fight game.

I'm talking about one attribute here, a one very major weakness that makes him quite easily beatable (by great fighters), if he didn't have it, he'd probably be the most complete, unbeatable fighter ever in the heavyweight division.

Well, he always got up and he is currently the 3rd most dominant heavyweight of all time. You can say he is packin glas s if you want, but I just dont see how anyone could always get up and do what he has done if they were British, or I mean, had a very weak jaw. We'll have to agree to disagree:good

It will be getting tough, but I dont expect Wlad to slip that much he is to disciplined. Even if he loses some speed he will still be fast enough. And I will expect him to expand on his craft as the years p***, that is his mentality.

they are saying it because he is, not because they want to.

though personally I'd call it weakish, not entirely gl***.

Joe Louis regarded by many as the greatest ever invented the bum of the month club, if your using that to descride Wlad then its a complement.

in fact Wlad comp is better than what Louis faced in his bum of the month club

Big credit to Manny for that - the Wlad boxing - added so much and gave him confidence when he needed it, especially the first Peter fight, god bless Manny, greatest trainer of all times.

Re chin- Vitali had one of the strongest hw chins of all time and Wlad has the same genes, so I always thought it was somewhat of a myth, the Wlad gl*** chin. A decent chin, not iron cast like Vitali.
