I always buy ppv(yes I am an idiot),but I really can't get any enthusiasm for the main event.I have lost interest in these lads careers particularly Cleverley.
It doesn't qualify for PPV on any level. Two of the top five in their division? No. World title unification? No. Either man proven at world level? No. A must-see fight on the undercard? No. Both badly KO'd at world level in the previous 18 months? Yes. Eddie Hearn and Adam Smith have got some bottle, that's the best i can say about this show.
I'm getting more excited every day we get closer to this. If you're not, then you are odd and you hate boxing.
My prediction is Cleverly to win by stoppage. I think all this talk of conceding that Bellew is the big hitter is a bit of a ploy. Encourage bellew into running out to try and close the show early, wait for him to gas himself out a bit... then BOOM. That's all she wrote. I think Clev is more powerful than people are assuming at this weight.
Tancred, have you come full circle on this yet? Forking out a whopping great 17 quid form your kids college fund?
No if this is a success what next british title fights suddenly become value for money ppv's :-( And I'm sorry but the undercard fights are really not competitive like someone else said earlier they are sparring session's
If the next british title fights are as good as this card, then I see no problem with a small cash outlay. Look at the amount of threads on Bellew/Clev. This is a big, crossover event. Perhaps we should now just admit it, because it will make it easier to order the boxing this saturday and settle down on the sofa to enjoy the night.
Degale v groves was PPV, granted there was a world title fight but it was clev vs a guy who came in the day before so in terms of quality it was on a par with one of quiggs 'world title' fights
I swear Groves/DeGale got pulled from ppv last minute and was shown on normal sky due to poor ppv sales?
