Algeri is one of the best PURE BOXERS in boxing today, he lacks power but he's an excellent boxer. If Pacquiao doesn't really hurt Algeri early, he's going to get decisioned.

I'm incline to say Pacquiao needs a knockout, but he is capable of just battering guys for 12 rounds. Algeri is the best pure boxer (Bradley is bette fighter) Pacquiao has ever faced, better then Marquez.

    Nope.

If this fight had been in the US then maybe, but this bout is in Macao and Chris will need at least 7 clear rounds to beat Pac. Don't think he's capable of doing that.

Thing is, Algieri WILL be hurt early....he'll be hurt in the middle and if he somehow manages to survive that long, he'll be hurt late.

Pacquiao dusts him inside 6 rounds and moves on.

When was the last time you were boxing in Macoa?

Its like the US is the benchmark for scoring in boxing. More hometown decisions than in Germany.

Provodnikov managed to get in and hurt him early, despite him not being a particularly intelligent fighter. I think Pac dusts him within 8.

I think you misunderstood, because that's exactly my point. Algieri is an American, and the only way to upset a big name like Pac worldwide is to clearly win 7 of the 12 rounds. UNLESS you're in the US of course. His stardom prevents him from losing if the fight is close over there in Macoa.

People made fun of me when I predicted that Bradley would get the nod over Pac if the fight was even remotely close because he was an undefeated American wich trumps being a foreign star.
    Look what happened there.

Who has Algieri shown to be a "PURE BOXER" against?

The second crudest caveman in boxing today in Provodnikov (first being Rios) or are you referring to the respectable yet highly unqualified Emanuel Taylor?

Overreact and buy into the hype much, eh?

No way Chris wins on the cards no way he knocks out Pac. His best chance is to make the fight close and stay in the mix for other big fights by *****ing endlessly that he got robbed.

Now Algieri is a master boxer? He's 5'10 fighting guys 5'4-5'6. He's bigger than them. Once he moves up to 154 or 160 I doubt his "master" boxing skills save him. He's not a master boxer, he's just a lanky guy that knows how to box on the outside. He has no inside game, his defense is suspect because he tucks his head and goes into a shell AGAINST SHORTER FIGHTERS. He's all right against 140 lbs fighters.

IMO all the Algieri-Provo fight proved is that PROVO is certainly no "Master Boxer" and cannot close the show unless someone willingly mixes it up with him.

Like others here, I believe it's a nearly a joke to call Algieri that- "MB"

Algieri has some good physical attributes and some toughness, but is basically an unproven fighter.

Good for all of us if he improves in every area, but I do not think he will do that to any great degree this weekend.

Algieri isn't winning this fight, decision or KO. Pac's connect % might be a tad lower but he's going to demolish Algieri.
