That video explains the dumb excuses about a cut, a stadium, reluctance to blood test. I don't fully blame Pac though, Mayweather and Arum played the biggest part in the fight not happening. Pacquiao is just a puppet.

 

I don't like Roach because he comes off as arrogant sometimes but I respect that he speaks his mind. No punches pulled.

One of the best, I can't say I can call him THE best. At least not without side by side comparisons. Pacquiao and Roach are a perfect fit. Khan and Roach are not. Cotto and Roach appear to be a good fit but gay ass Rodriguez and old shot to **** Martinez are horrible victories. Roach couldn't coach Provodnikov into beating Algieri. He's cherry picked for Cotto since he's trained him. He's definitely a HOF trainer and one of the greatest. What is your criteria for labeling him "the best trainer today"?

At the elite level, its not about being the "best" trainer.. its about matching the temperament of the fighter with the proper trainer. Generally speaking, I think if a trainer has had 2 or more fighters win belts they know their stuff.

At that point, it seems more of how well the fighter and trainer mesh. Not one elite trainer being "better" than another.
