:deal It would definitely still work, chisora has a shown a weak imitation of it, and hes had some success with it. He did vs helenuis and vitali and it occasionaly worked. But he doesnt do it with the same skill or speed as a frazier or tyson, they were inside and ready to unleash left hooks and for tyson brutal combinations. Chisoras isnt light enoughon his feet to get him in distance all the time but if he can slip a weak jab with it, hes in. Shame he cant punch that hard.

    Absolutly it will work.

But it will/should be a fundemental part of how you fight and will need to suit your body type.

Tyson the last great example...He quickly stopped using it though as he lost guidance & fell out of prime fast.

effectivly & efficiently using it can be a hard thing to achieve.

    Frazier never fought Liston? WTF?

  5. The best bob and weave fighter was Tyson.

It requires high athleticism to do it at world level. Despite what everyone says about today's fitness and nutrition, I haven't seen anyone as physically talented as Tyson, Ray Leonard, or Roy Jones.

You need a huge gas tank to do it all the time aswell, ive tried doing that bobbing and weaving before for in sparring, if your not good at it and your missing punches and taking them. tires ya. no wonder tyson couldnt it for 12 rounds. pffff. frazier must of been a freak.

The best were Frazier, and Nicolino Locche from Argentina. Tyson is up their but he is not the best.

  9. I disagree, Frazier was good, but Tyson took it to a new level. Had better reaction while doing it and was much more efficient at getting inside too.

frazier was a bit lopsided, he wanted to land that left hook, 1 twice or as many times as he could. Tyson was a better more expansive on the inside 1-2-3-4 rapid fire combo's starting from any punch. Tysons jab was underated aswell.

Also Tyson's offense flowed smoothly from his defensive movement, with terrific leverage and combinations.

It's interesting to note that Tyson's bob and weave was basically a "U" movement.

Whatever happened to the poster "Bob 'n' Weave" anyway? I loved his threads

I meant I was literally watching
    back to back
    Joe Frazier fights
    AND Sonny Liston fights
Not Frazier vs Liston. Use your head

Bobbing and weaving won't work in modern boxing. Ducking and dodging will though, Floyd has been very successful with those techniques.
