Now I don't want any excuses about him hurting his left hand, even before he hurt it he couldn't finish a guy that he clearly hurt. Mayweather had way more power at 130, than Lomachenko has at 126.
He has power but accumalative power. He hasn't got one punch knockout power it seems but he's fought some tough fights early on in his career. He's not padding his record with cabbies who he could knock out easily.
A very descriptive explanation, something I'd expect from a mentally challenged child that just started watching boxing. What round did Loma hurt his hand, and what round did he knock Jonathan down? I doubt you even watched the fight.
Loma should have put Jonathan away after the knockdown, but he clearly lacks the power to be a finisher.
He could still be great without the power of a Donaire or Walters. He's such a good boxer he can use his skills to negate the punching power and just frustrate the puncher. It's early days in his pro career. I don't think he'll reach Pacquiao or Mayweather elite levels but he's definitely a top world class operator.
I never criticized his skills. He is much more skilled than Manny, and he's one of the top technicians in boxing today. That being said, if he had some power he would have stopped Jonathan, he hit him with the kitchen sink but still couldn't get him out of there.
He doesn't have much power in his right, but he's got a hard left, after he hurt that there was little chance of him finishing the other guy off. With his left though he does punch pretty hard, especially to the body, he almost got both Salido and Russell out of there.
What about before he hurt his left? He had plenty of time to finish him off before he injured his hand. Loma hurt Jonathan pretty bad with a combination, and the left hook that knocked him down. It seems like he always "almost" gets his opposition out of there, but never actually does. If he moves up in weight he'll be featherfisted.
