Golden Boy Promotions given green light by Mayweather to begin negotiations.

Less than two hours after Manny Pacquiao defeated Miguel Cotto on November 14, 2009, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer contacted the President of HBO Sports, Ross Greenburg, to inform him that he had been given permission by Floyd Mayweather to begin negotiations for a potential showdown.
