Why don't boxers drink some caffeine before starting boxing?

    I wonder what would be the ADVERSE affects of higher blood pressure, constricted veins?

    Or is the risk not there, why don't boxers use caffiene then?

    Hi amounts of caffeine before intense exercise is dangerous.

    I'd be surprised if they didn't in training. When it comes to fight night it's probably unnecessary as they are already up for it and in top condition.

    coke does the trick, best stimulant out there. ask sweet pea

    but on a serious note, preworkouts are banned from boxing

    This has acually been proven to be wrong. Caffeinated beverages works just as fine to hydrate yourself as water.

    The increased heart rate would also gas you out. Which is why its more preferred for lifting weights and not cardio type workouts.

    Depends on the beverage, as far as I know the only two beverages proven to do that were green and black (like English)tea. In fact, they are absorbed better and more slowly than water.
