The is rumors going around he mentioned he hurt it in the 3rd in the post fight press conference, 1. have not seen footage so don't know if that's 100% true. 2. He never threw it much in the first 3 so doubt it.
Even the few times he did throw it, it looked very half-hearted and tentative. I think he must have hurt it before the fight, probably didn't have as good a training camp as he should have either. His stamina probably suffered as a result of the move up. But overall a bad performance (by both in reality)
I think he was injuried going in and Hearn has previous for it (Barker in germany) Clev didn't even seem gutted in the interviews after it.
Clev got a big pay day... He was defo injured and just wanted to finish the fight. I put £30 on him last night to win by UD as anyone with two hands and fitness can beat Bellew. So I'm a little annoyed I must admit. Boxing is so corrupt... The sport is dieing! They only had the arena till a certain time aswell so you could tell the refs were told to stop each fight as soon as possible. Degale beat up a fatty, groves a middleweight,Joshua a punch bag, the first opponent on the cards didn't even iron his shorts or own a pair of boots Complete joke
I don't really understand (and never have understood) why the huge gap between LHW and Cruiser. Plenty of room for another weight class somewhere between the two - It wouldn't be 'overkill' as even a class sitting right between the two weight limits would be markedly different from either in terms of attributes fighters would likely have. If in doubt, boil down. Cleverly really only has the option of LHW if he wants to continue. He would need to be beating the Bellews of the world at Cruiser if he had a future at the weight. He was gassed early and traded his attributes for muscle. no good.
I think he was injured before the fighjt but couldnt afford to pull out, Eddie probably gave him a sweetnener to keep his mouth shut afterwards lol
