It's fair to say Manny Pacquiao has matured greatly in his last few fights and has definitely left the Manny of old in the ring after the Marquez fight, which is a good and bad thing for him. But Manny has become so much smarter in the ring and toasted his latest opponents with ease. I cannot see anyone having anything other than a puncher's chance against Manny besides Floyd.

I think a Floyd-Manny fight would be a closer matchup now than a few years ago when both were at the peak of their powers. Floyd clearly isn't as dominant as he was and Manny has changed as a fighter. I still don't care if they never fight because it will never be good enough but point being the new Manny can only lose to Floyd and vice versa.

I've been very impressed by Pacquiao in his last 3 fights against Brandon Rios, Tim Bradley and Algieri last night.

I've also noticed his style has actually changed radically since he was KO'd by Marquez.

He's a less exciting fighter now but definately a more All round Complete one both offencively and more importantly Defencively. He no longer rushes in like he did previously which is why he'd always struggle with a counter puncher like Marquez, infact he's rarely stays in the pocket too long and has become a much more patient, intelligent and concise counter puncher himself.

I always thought Mayweather would pick off the version of Pac pre Marquez KO but this new version Pac would beat him as Floyd would no longer be able to capitalize on those mad rushes Manny used to make or staying in the pocket too long.

This new style for Pac is also one that uses less energy and stamina so it fits perfectly for a fighter who is 35/36 years old.

This version of Pac beats the 38 year old Mayweather if the fight takes place next year.

    Your thoughts?

Anybody with a right hand that can crack has a chance against Pacman. He hasn't improved anything, same Pacman of the last 5-6 yrs. Algeri and Bradley couldn't hurt him he'd just walk thru their powershots. Just watch in all the Marquez fights everytime Jmm landed something big Pacman would think twice about unleashing his offense.

Marquez only has a puncher's chance against this Pac.

Same pac, just been fighting lower caliber of fighters in rios and Chris . His performance against Bradley is comparable to the first one.

I don't take much from the jmm loss, jmm always gave pac problems.

I thought the best pac in his last few fights was the pac from jmm vs pac 4. He displayed great head movement and body work.

Last night's pac just kept his hands up and walked straight towards chris, he didn't need to do much to beat him.

They have a chance, a puncher's chance and a very small one at that.

Agree completely except the part about definitely beating Floyd. He has the best chance realistically though.

Wrong, to beat pac you have to have good movement, decent defense and decent power. Jmm beat pac because he predicts pac well and dodges his straights and hooks. Not every one can do that. Manny is still as dangerous as he was.
