Before the *******s jump in to defend their hero let me just say im not taking away from Pacquiao's win. He was dragging a guy up in weight rather than fighting a top 10 WW and Algieri was clearly out of his depth in this fight being vastly inexperienced despite a very good win over Ruslan Provodnikov. Besides that Pacquiao fought a good fight and deserved the win That being said Algieri never had a chance. 2 knockdowns were scored that were complete garbage 1st one being in round 2 when Algieri clearly slipped 2nd one in round 9 after Algieri went down once and the ref decided to give a standing 8 with Algieri still on his feet Not to mention Algieri looked out of it in round 9 where the fight should have been stopped (the first knockdown) and whenever Algieri landed a body shot it was declared low Genaro Rodriguez is even worse than Terry O Connor for officiating. on a side note though : Its obvious Pacquiao/Mayweather isnt happening next (best possibility is september 2015) Mayweather is looking to fight the winner of Alexander/Khan for his next fight in May so shouldnt Pacquiao fight a top WW instead of fighting LWW's? The WBO top 10 is garbage with Marquez still at #1, Bradley at #2 and Rios bizarely above Amir Khan. Kell Brook - IBF Welterweight champion Kieth Thurman Marcos Maidana I know Pacquiao is supposed to be moving down to 140 but if he really wants the floyd fight why move down? if one of those 3 opponents arent in the ring with Pacquiao come 2015 i will be severely disapointed
I fell asleep during the lomachenko fight so had to watch the pac fight just now. Which fight are you talking about?
ah i thought he was decent, chris could continue that time and proved it but he was ready to jump in, some of the knockdowns were harsh but i think all but one a decnt punch landed aswell
The guy in the Zou Shiming fight. He was really bad. He would have these long discussions after small infractions.
He wasnt allowing Algieri any chance to get into the fight, everytime Algieri had even a shimmer of success Rodriguez was the first one to jump in and hand out warnings . . . . Even the HBO commentary who are usually biased to hell could see that
Im not saying if it was another ref that Algieri would have won, hell the way he fought not utilising his size advantage it wouldnt have made the slight bit of difference other than a stoppage being scored Regardless every fight should have fair officiating and Algieri even if he wasnt completely outclassed he wouldnt have had a chance to win due to the refs constant interfering
alright i streamed it maybe i missed the ref interfering a lot, i didnt really notice much i seen him say the warnings and pulled him that time but i never noticed chris with momentom or anything and didnt think the ref was too involved physically like yad see in other fitghts maybe im wrong though
