That's what I'm saying....it shouldn't have to be all these "hoops" that Manny has to jump through to make this fight reality. It should just be two men, with two different Promoters....Now Floyd is a promoter himself so there really shouldn't be any problems.

The biggest problem SHOULD be the fact that Floyd jumped ship to SHO and Manny is still with HBO.....but of course we all know BOTH cable giants are putting pressure on Floyd to make the fight with Manny finally happen.

The problem is exactly what you want Manny to adhere to.....another hoop that Floyd has strategically placed in between him and PAC for the fight to happen.

If Floyd really wants the fight.......there are no hoops to have PAC jump through. Just make the fight happen. Floyd will get the lions share....that is a given....but Manny is the 2nd top draw and he'll get a fair slice of the MASSIVE pot that awaits both fighter....both networks and ALL the investors that will be scrambling to throw their hat in the mix to be apart of history.

Floyd is not going to give up his leverage to Bob Arum, Floyd is the promoter and the fighter, he believes he's the best and has the numbers to back up that he is the #1 attraction*and fighter in the sport. It is Arum who is going to have to concede at the negotiation table. Floyd is not going to relinquish this opportunity, he is actually looking forward to dictating to his old boss. I'm not saying it's Floyd's way or the highway cause I'm a Floyd fan, I'm saying it cause it's true. Bob wants control of the negotiation, Floyd is not going to give him that, he won't budge an inch. Pac will either have to accept the offer or settle for Jessie Vargas.

 

If Manny really wanted to fight Floyd he would not have resigned with Bob Arum and with an exclusive HBO contract.
