Mayweather does not have to fight like Marquez to beat Manny Pacquiao, he can fight like Mayweather and beat Manny Pacquiao

Please don't use the Marquez KO win over Pacquiao an indication that Mayweather will easily defeat Pacquiao.
As we all saw in their first 3 fights, Marquez did not have the power to drop Pacquiao and he took Marquez's shots well.

That KO Loss to Marquez was not Marquez's power, it was Pacquiao being careless and just got timed while rushing in.

After that KO Loss, Pacquiao still applies pressure but now fighting as a Boxer/Puncher and fighting smart.
Hope this Mayweather fight pulls through, we boxing fans deserve this fight, even though both have slowed down, these are Top 2 p4p champions right now.

yeah that's what I was thinking, the guys that beat pacquiao actually fought back. Erik, Marquez were able to beat pacquiao cause they traded blows until pacquiao backed up.

Don't compare these two fights. The former wasn't fun but the latter was.

I think FLOYD has to believe he can win (as you do) for this fight to happen. I think the same of Paquiao. What we believe as fans- including all of the sound and unsound expertise expressed- really doesn't matter.

Likewise, what we as fans ASSUME has happened in past negotiations doesn't matter so IMO does not warrant going over for the millionth time- especially as a proving point of some kind. To some degree we are always guessing.

Finally, what we believe will happen in the fight is useless to speculate about... until the fight is made. When that happens I hope to see both of these fighters do exactly what they do at the highest level possible.

I'm a fan of both and do not know who will win. I hope for a great fight.

It means taking your chances. If an opponent wants to come out of the ring looking pretty after fighting Pac, he's in for a big trouble. :D

Cause his fans are not gonna be the ones fighting Pacquiao so they think Mayweather is gonna go in and raise hell. Easier said than done

Can you imagine if Mayweather throws that leaping left hook? Especially considering he doesn't use a jab to set it up. Or the long straight right he throws from a bit to far and then poses with it?

I can't see mayweather not being able to adjust and get the win. Pacman in 2009 i would have had a different prediction.

    - A Huge underdog, Slower and Flat Footed fighter and WBA 147 Champion in Maidana gave Mayweather hell in their first fight and lost via Majority Decision against the Huge Favorite Mayweather jr.

    - Underdog, Good boxer with lateral movement and Undefeated Champion in Algieri who got knocked down 6 times, got dominated and lost via Huge Unanimous Decision against Pacquiao.

I would like to see Pacquiao v.s. Maidana anyway. It should be fun.

    Don't you think so?

You are underestimating Pacquiao's ability to readjust as well and strategize in the ring through extensive experience. Pacquiao has better ring IQ than people give him credit for.
