Roman deserves it as much as anyone but in reality has no chance due to obvious reasons.

Kovalev deserves serious consideration but if Crawford looks good coming up it is his award for obvious reasons.

Ok bro first off don't lump me into a group:nono
There have been several fights of Floyd that had me half asleep:tired

Maidana is not a C level caveman :-(

Floyd and PAC both had decent fights where they destroyed younger guys.

    For me personally :

Terence Crawford (should he beat Beltran)
Wladimir Klitschko (beating two mandatories via KO, continuing his 8 year reign)
Gennady Golovkin (winning in dominant knockout fashion)

    1) Crawford
    2) Golovkin

Manny already beat Bradley. Second fight was no challenge. Algieri is a hyped ESPN fighter.

If he beats Omar Narvaez convincingly, then it should clearly be Inoue.

Roman Gonzalez, Amnat Ruenroeng, Manny Pack, and Sergei Kovalev would be next for me, potentially and probably in that order.

For the record, IB, it isn't exactly fair to put "(controversial)" next to Alvarez's win over Lara without also doing the same for others such as Jessie Vargas' win over Khabib.

Thurman, Lemeiux, Stevenson, Saunders, DeGale, and Lomachenko belong nowhere near this discussion and should not even be listed. They are clearly multiple tiers below the rest in any assessment of their victories (even if they impressively win their scheduled matches).

So, things worth discussing until January:

Which names belong on the final poll? (don't just harp on about who you personally feel the Fighter of the Year is...consider these next several weeks tthe primaries to determine the ballot, and think of who else is close to deserving the nod besides your actual pick)

Of the rest, what order do you put their years in? Why?

Inoue if he wins against Narvaez, Gonzalez, Amnat, Golovkin, Kovalev, Walters and Crawford make a very short short list. Maybe Donnie Nietes? Maybe Wlad Klitschko?

Really lacked interesting fights in divisions like 122, 130, 140, 154, 168 this year.

Rodrigo Guerrero impress me a lot this year but lacks an A* win he need.
