Mayweather beats Pacquiao in a boring fight. Mayweather will use the hit and run style to beat him. Nobody can beat Mayweather if he still uses his best defensive style.

It's not about breaking the record......it's about blowing it out of the park! For a fight like this it needs a venue that will allow for this to happen. They could do it in Las Vegas but why? It would limit the earning potential.

floyd-maidana. it was more competitive and the melodrama made it entertaining.

Roach confirmed that the could have accepted the terms back in 2010, but that doesn't mean Floyd wouldn't have found another way to back out of the fight.

But if you recall tensions were extreme during that time. Both were equal in terms of stature in the sport (Both being P4P#1) and both were equally top draws....Floyd having the better average, Manny selling more units fighting TWICE a year vs Floyd's ONCE a year schedule.

The Special drug testing wasn't necessary.....Neither were the allegations. He could have just went about business as usual as he did 40+ times before and the fight would have been made.

Of course SHO didn't expect Floyd to fight Manny 6 times.....I'm sure they were hoping for at least ONCE. LOL.

Only two fights were deemed successful....against the two big named latin fighter in Nelo and Cotto. Everyone else Floyd chose....were NOT successful. SHO is losing money on the deal which is their bad....Floyd has an iron clad agreement where no matter who he chooses to fight he's getting paid.....I can't hate on him for that. SHO and their execs are to blame for being so dumb in agreeing to those terms.

I dont consider 900,000 PPV with Maidana a failure, I'd say thats pretty damn good, likely 3 times what Pac-Algieri did

Its funny how Pacquiao fans are quick to call the knockout a "lucky punch" and completely forget the punch that put Pacquiao down in the 3rd when Marquez came forward with what I can remember from memory was left hook?

Marquez moved up straight from 135 when he fought Floyd, before the 3rd Pacquiao fight where he was blatantly robbed he had time to move up and build the weight naturally. The only reason Pacquiao agreed to fight Marquez the 3rd time was because Roach and Arum saw it as an easy fight and it backfired. the 4th fight was mandatory when you consider Pacquiao lost his belt to Bradley

Now Whilst Floyd struggled with Maidana it was more down to Maidana's high punch output and how he smothered Floyd fighting in the pocket, pushing him aganst the ropes and keeping him there. Manny doesnt have the physical size to bully floyd like Maidana did and will likely fight from range as he always does giving Floyd time to duck and weave off the ropes as he is accustomed to.

Manny can give Floyd problems with his pressure but its likely Floyd will be able to adjust whilst Pacquiao lacks this quality.

When things arent going Manny's way his reaction is to throw more punches, be more aggressive but thats exactly what will be his undoing leaving him open to Floyds countershots en route to a decision loss (unless Arum pays off the officials)

Hell as crazy as it sounds Floyd could even knock Pacquiao out if he decides to rush in like Hatton did.

Id like to see it as a chino fan but Pacquiao needs to start fighting guys with winning records at WW rather LWW's coming off losses.

Id like to see Brook-Pacquiao in a unification but Arum just wants to keep matching Manny up with Topranks Junior Welterweights.

What id like to see :

    Pacquiao V Brook - WBO/IBF
    Mayweather V Alexander/Khan - WBA/WBC

Winners fight for the undisputed championship

and what Floyd has to negate that action is reach, timing and movement.

Last night what I saw was pac rushing in when his opponent does not stand right in front of him, and in doing so ran into lead rights and counter hooks.

His in and out game only works on fighters with un educated feet.
