Don't put Mayweather in the poll. Nobody actually believes he's the fighter of the year, yet loads of *****'s will ruin the poll by voting for him.

For me, if Inoue beats Navarez he is the FOTY.

Actually this is so true. I vote for Floyd being out of the poll completely.

As for those who should be in there:
    1. Roman Gonzales
    2. Kovalev
    3. GGG
    4. Pacquiao
    5. Crawford
    6. Walters

As has been mentioned if Inoue can beat Narvaez then he has to be front runner, though right now I kinda have it split between Gonzalez and Kovalev.

In terms of the poll I'd be inclined to leave it with just the standout names on it without padding it out to 10.

I might add GGG and it's fair to say that he's done what he can with the MW division, but it's probably not quite enough.

And I'm not particularly convinced by either Floyd or Pac. Both had only 2 fights (as per usual) but wasted one of them beating guys they already beat.

Although both of them were nominal titlists neither Algieri or Maidana are the kind of wins that should propel a guy on to a FOTY list IMO.

    Agree with this.

It was the year of the little men. Inoue, Roman, and Ruenroeng all at the very top of the list.

And in fairness, Maidana and Algieri are much better than most of the opponents/victories listed in the opening post.

If Crawford beats Beltran I'd say it's him clearly.

For me it's Kovalev, Crawford (especially if he wins against Beltran this week), and Walters as the 3 prime candidates.

    Manny Pacquiao
    Sergey Kovalev
    Roman Gonzalez
    Terence Crawford

Any of these four would be a good choice for Fighter of the Year.

I think Roman Gonzalez deserves it the most.

Please don't include Floyd Mayweather in the poll - he doesn't deserve to be there.
