Pacquiao will be remembered as the greater fighter because of his accomplishments but anyone who watches the Pacquiao-Marquez series in the future will more than likely feel like Marquez head to head is better.

kind of like how Leonard has 2 wins over Duran but Duran in most opinions is higher All Time.

 

Pacquiao will be known as the better fighter in that he accomplished much more.

Marquez could be known as the better fighter for having directly won some amount of their four fights, as almost everyone scored their third fight to Marquez in addition to slight majorities scoring their first and second fight to Marquez. And then there was KTFO6.

But Pacquiao is obviously the better fighter based on resume. Not close.

 

Pacquiao hands down. JMM only comes up as the "opponent" of Pacquiao. Without Pacquiao, JMM's name is an afterthought.

 

Both are great fighters but pac edges it.
