Calzaghe's wins over Hopkins and Jones were at light heavyweight, so Froch is ahead I think. Calzaghe wouldn't have beat Ward, I think. Calzaghe beat Kessler to win The Ring title. Ward is better than Kessler.

Froch's resume is massively over rated, Calzaghe beat more champions and more contenders. He has very debatable wins over Johnson and Dirrell (and don't say he dominated Johnson that's *******s), Kessler was past it in the rematch.

We will see what Groves and people that achieve but frankly I don't think he is too great.

The question is similar to asking whether Amir Khan has the hardest chin in boxing.

No he hasn't fought the best competition.

Abraham - The guy who has needed robberies to beat several domestic level guys at SMW.

Johnson - The guy who has over 15 losses and is over 40 and was a no mark on the scene even in Calzaghe's era.

Taylor - Just been battered twice off Pavlick and was going through a **** phase of his career needed a robbery to beat welter weight Spinks and Wright, came 10 seconds off beating Froch.

    Yusaf Mack - Absolute dross

Mikkel Kessler - Clearly past it the time Froch actually managed to beat him.

As for Bute and Pascal did you see their fight. Terrible performance by both.

You wouldn't have seen Calaghe needing to get gifts against boxers with less than 20 fights, which Froch has recieved twice with Groves and Dirrell.

Maybe he's the best Super Middleweight ever if he can get in the ring with Andre Ward again..

What good is being the best Russian Super Middleweight ever?

What annoys me is the one time the fight made sense it was offered, good terms Hennessy refused because there was a rematch clause, Bika took the fight instead but now apparently Calzaghe ducked it coz Froch spouted off after he retired.

Haha. Please go through all Calzaghes defences saying how great every one of them was just for comedy value.
