Why do you think he refused to weighin for a fight night weight vs Marquez?

Thats the one fight where it really benefits Mayweather to come in a little heavier than Marquez and Mayweather does'nt weighin fight night.

 

I'm guessing it had to do with marketability and insecurity from his team that he didn't want more numerical evidence to their size difference.

146 pounds vs. 142 pounds, their weigh in weights, doesn't look and isn't as far apart as their likely fight night weights which likely was something like 150 pounds vs. 143 pounds.

I dunno.

But he's weighed in on fight night for 5 of his last 6 fights and has never entered the ring weighing more than 150.5 pounds (the Alvarez fight).

 

He's a giant Filipino.

actually most people dont because they are idiots...the guy was fighting at super featherweight just 6 years ago and a few years before that he was at bantamweight (118 pounds)
yet still people think he "dragged" Algieri among others up to his division :-(

Almost every fighter who fought prior to the 1990's would be at least one division higher these days. They did not lift weights, an even light lifting over a few months adds about 8-10% body weight. Train longer and with moderate weights its more. For example Duran would have been 154 in his prime, and never fought at lightweight.
Look at Vinny Panzienza. He won title at lightweight, as weight lifting got popular, he kept going up, till he was coming into ring at 180 on fight night after making 168 at weigh ins. If Pac fought in the 1960's or 1970's, he'd be lightweight. Same for Floyd . Both are just under 5'7"

 

Weight is relevant to some degree,here it's gone over the top.don't you agree?especially between Floyd and Pac fans.so does the money thing.
