I don't need any explaining to. You continue to assert that Williams had a better chin and punching power than Lewis when there is absolutely no evidence to suggest he did.

Hand speed, fair enough, but on what basis do you say Williams had more power and a better chin than Lewis? If you want to point to Lewis' KO losses, then Williams had quite a few more of those than Lewis. And for all Williams' vaunted power, who was the best fighter he KO'd? Ernie Terrell?

Foreman rated Williams higher than Liston himself. Liston also went on record saying Williams was the hardest puncher he faced. In Williams's prime he was only knocked out once. By arguably the hardest puncher of all time in his prime.

I really don't care about the speed argument, but you are totally wrong regarding chin and power. Just look at the bums that dropped Williams during his career. Are you really stupid enough to claim that if it was Lewis knocking him over he is gonna get up? As for his power, don't make me laugh. Lewis would walk straight through anything he threw, this guy couldn't even knock over fighters like Fields, Bathea, and Daniels. Guys that had been previously KO'd multiple times.

Lewis may have every advantage and it may be early but Lewis should be careful with his defense while putting on the offense

Exactly. But what do you mean by clearing up?

    Got to agree with this.

I remember before Rahman 1, LL was interviewed and was asked "would you have trained harder if you were fighting Tyson?" - he replied "of course" with a shocked look on his face. I knew then that Lewis wasn't prepared. The rematch proved it.

The fact is, if Lewis had been fighting someone like Liston, he would have prepared as he did for Rahman 2, not Rahman 1.

If you choose to judge the standard of Lewis by Rahman 1, you are merely judging Lewis on the bald result not the underlying issues surrounding the fight (i.e Lewis' poor preparation, which of course was his own fault).

I couldn't agree more. As Heavyweight champion of the world, with a fight coming up, he should have had more sense than to be grovelling around Brad Pitt, George Clooney, and Julia Roberts in Las Vegas like some teenaged groupie. FFs he was only in the stupid film for a few seconds.

It's a weird argument to make anyways considering the man in the other corner is Liston, whose own motivation went out the window about as soon as he got the belt.

Heck, at least Lennox had a belt for awhile before he got complacent. That's on him, but in this particular matchup, he's clearly the more dedicated of the two (assuming Liston's career was on the level).
