Im looking to get a standing punch bag for christmas, and was just wondering if anyone had any insights or experiences to the best punch bags to go for, and what ones to stay away from? The standing bag will just be going in a spare room, and will not be used for extensive training, just a work out about 3-4 times a week. Price range looking at would be in the £100-£125 region.

As long as u get a heavy duty one u should b ok. Dont b tempted to get a frame bag as u cant move around the bag properly. If u do go cheaper you can always fix the base to the floor.my best advice however is liberate a few scaffold tubes and put a crossbar frame up and buy a proper hanging bag.

A bag in your garage and joining a club where someone lost in the ABA regionals and you'll be world class in no time.

At least you'll be actual shat.. instead of shat but never tried it.

Haha cheers for the advice! Was looking at the standing punch bags on amazon, the reviews are all hit and miss though.

F.ck standing bags they are utterly useless. If you cant have a hanging heavy bag then go for a wall mounting uppercut/hook pad.

If you have to shop on amazon uk i saw these, havent any idea if they are any good tho. But something similiar is what I meant.

Might crack your plaster up nicely though haha
