The 'Orchid' man against 'Superman' scheduled for 15 rounds...The '20's vs. the '70's...Who would you take?

If its in Rahway, i think James might be worth a bet, James used to suffocate pure boxers with Pressure, It took a Bull Martin and Buzzsaw Braxton to Derail him, I am not sure if George could Fancy Dan superman Scott the whole way ?

Georges was much smaller than Scott, doubt he could have hurt him or even bothered him. UD or late KO for James.
There's a really good chapter on Scott in Tris Dixon's new book 'The Road To Nowhere' if you're interested. James used to do 1000 press ups per morning. Phenomenally well-conditioned man.

Yes it was really good. Eddie Mustafa Muhammad couldn't believe it when interviewed in 2001 and told that Scott was still in prison. A few years of freedom before he ended up in a care home. Tragic case really.

Well....he did kill someone. So although I wouldn't wish dementia on anyone who has fought, he isn't worthy of too much sympathy as a man.

I tend to judge fighters just on their fighting thougg, and Scott waa really, really good.

So many quality contenders and to have wins over Mustafa, Kates and Lopez is...well it's very impressive.

He would've given Saad a good fight and I think he'd have beaten the snot out of Rossman.

Still, as is true of everyone from that era, even if he'd got bigger opportunities before he lost, he would've lost a few here and there anyway.

No shame in how his career went down though. He was clearly a natural bad a s s fighter, and to hang with the fighters he did without a huge amount of pro experience shows he was a really good fighter.

Because Carpentier is overrated inside the ring as everything but a pure straight right handed puncher and if the deck wasnt stacked in Carpentier's favor (i.e. fixed) hes going to find himself in deep with a badass like Scott.

Scott looked.like he was terrified when he faced Braxton in 81, he ran all.over th ering like a chicken, Braxton kicked his ass...

Funny how Scott used play the tough guy act, and wanna goat folks into Rahway to come fight him, then would fold like a cheap suit, when a World class guy showed up to kick his ass..

Really? Considering Scott had already beaten three world class fighters, and took the fight to all of them, I can't see how losing to Qawi (when he was coming off his first loss and pulled himself off the deck) meant he was putting on a 'tough guy act'?

It's goad not goat by the way.
