And for a guy with punching power as one of his lower asset he has still taken out a solid if not brilliant euro champ with one punch and a world title challenger out in 2.

Golovkin on the pads? That open workout vid of him before Rubio where he hit the pads clean off Sanchez's hands regularly?

Did you like the Fletcher stoppage? I think it was early. BJS did hurt him badly but Fletcher pretty much walked onto the shot as BJS was throwing it. Those shots are always dangerous.

In Blandamura he absolutely clobbered him with a clean right hook. Once again Blanda was throwing a shot and turned right into the power. Then he was badly hurt as he went flailing into the ropes. Ref should have been there immediately and administered the 8 count (only the ropes was keeping him up so should be seen as a knockdown) instead the fatass ref was too slow and BJS jumped in with a massive left straight and right on the guys jaw. Party Over.

Yes they were stoppages but pretty much the perfect storm. Doesnt really tell us that much about his "outright" power. Very good timing to catch the guy mid punch though, that has to be said.

Ahh I haven't seen that video, I've seen a few where golovkin doesn't go full force just all about technique. all I'm saying is that even if someone looks like they're smashing the **** out of a pad it doesn't necessarily mean it would hurt an opponent and vice versa.

Yeah. definitely, especially if a trainer slaps the pads onto the glove real hard, it sounds like fking gunshots, but the punches wouldnt hurt a fly in the actual fight.

i have absolutely no doubt he is in the shape of his life , but i still dont see it being enough to beat the power of eubank , once eubank lands i think its over .

Most if not all of Eubank Jr's opposition has come in on a few weeks notice, been KO'd by people who are not world class and some have went the distance with him. His power is over rated.

    Yep.

I think a lot of people are overlooking Saunders and overrating what little Eubank has done so far in their respective careers.

Spot on, BJS is not a fool, for all the insults and sneering he would have heard like the rest of us how some big names involved in British boxing rate Jr very highly. BJS knows he could have his hands full and looks to have worked very hard.

    No excuses for either fighter.
