Everybody put the date to 2009 now. It started way earlier then that for any half knowledgable boxing fans. I really dont really give a **** anymore. Floyd barelly ever gave matchups fans wanted. Its his thing.

Mayweather IGNORES Pacroid. He's not worth responding to. Mayweather mocks him and Pacroid gets bent out of shape and starts whining on social media.

Bob Arum knew Floyd wanted the fight in May 2015. An offer as confirmed by Showtime was presented months ago. Arum had to make sure Pac had a soft touch in November so as to not spoil the real fight. Chris Algieri played his part well, looked horrible, ran around the ring, touched gloves 100 times, hit the canvass all night, but must importantly he got Pac fans excited and back on Floyd's instagram page talking crazy!

If up against a better fighter Pac likely would not have looked as good or as dominate and the hype to face Mayweather would not be as great. (nobody was calling for May-Pac after Marquez III & IV) Algieri was just what the doctor ordered.......a cherry

Interesting theory. It's true, Pac would have probably looked bad against a top opponent (he looked terrible against Bradley 2), and a single bad performance is enough today to give **** to a fighter.

I'm not disrespecting Chris but his performance was pathetic, I never expected him to win the fight but it is important to fight well in the biggest fight of your life. When your trainer says the plan was to give away the first four then let him out the cage in the 10th, it's a ridiculous plan.

All Bob Arum wants casual fans to remember from this fight are the 6 knockdowns, not the fact the opponent was terrible. I would of been more impressed if he'd knocked Bradley down 6 times

I agree with this. They gave Pac a safe, sellable fight. Algieri fit perfectly. I would've rather seen Algieri fight a couple more times against top competition before taking that step up.

Junior welterweight....check, no power....check, catchweight.... check, Macau China...check, and they talk about Maidana's "pillow" gloves lol....Pac had an entire catchlist for this fight. He couldn't possibly lose, by decision or otherwise!

I also thought he looked good against Bradley. People need to understand that guys like Bradley and Khan have difficult styles.
