they should shut down any opponents not named manny Pacquiao.the tv networks are the ones who approve of the fights.showtime could say hey we want you to fight pac all other opponents aren't worthy.of course they cant force anybody to fight if they truly don't want to.duckweather jr would probably just retire.:deal

they have a contract of 2 more fights with Floyd ... but i think he could just fight anyone just to honor the agreement

...so the possibility of the fight happening is not yet clear

A huge part of this is the upcoming khan vs alexander fight.if khan wins duckweather jr will try to pretend like khan is a bigger deal then Pacquiao.but if alexander beats khan who will duckweather jr fight? it damn sure wont be alexander I can tell you that much.here's to alexander knocking out glass jaw khan.

maybe if showtime was loosing money on floyd they would be more persuasive in the fighter selection. I really dont see them messing around with their cash cow. What other ppv fighters does showtime have?

do they really have a say on who Floyd fights...remember Floyd is too picky on his opponents, he is not a risk taker

reason probly why moonves is stepping in.

to stop this espinoza foolishness (contract with floyd) and recoup their loses. i'm sure cbs/showtime have a big say on who he fights.

I have a feeling Floyd will take the fight on his own accord.

If this fight doesn't happen in May I just might lose it.

There is absolutely no one else that Floyd or Pac should fight. Make the damn fight! Get all these guys in some hotel conference room, order some food, lock the door, don't let anyone out until everything is done!

    in short, no.

old, true story of the sport: if boxer "a" doesn't want to fight boxer "b" then it won't happen. 'been around a long time.

In a time where Mayweather did'nt even want to mention Canelo Alvarez' name, Showtime pretty much forced Mayweather to have to fight Canelo after the Guerrero PPV did so poorly.

Mayweather's last 2 PPV's vs Maidana have not exceeded 1million buys and for what Showtime is paying Mayweather, his PPV's should well be exceeding 1 million buys.
