    Eduard Troyanovsky is a 35 year 5'9 Light Welterweight with a 24-0 21 KO's record. Born in the Russian City of Omsk currently living in Bryansk, he's a lanky, spindly, and very awkward with a very good jab, he doesn't have great defense and that's never a good thing, but his power seems to be getting better and better with each passing fight, he's impressing me more and more his last couple of fights have ended with him getting some sensational stoppages. He was supposed to have his shot at the big time earlier this year when he was scheduled to face Abril, unfortunately he suffered a hand injury and had to pull out of the fight. 34 is awfully old to be considered a prospect but he started his pro career at 29 like a lot of his fellow Russian comrades do. So Check out the Eagle swoop in and eat some defenseless prey, maybe in the next year or so he'll be challenging for a title, so prepare yourselves in case it happens, and won't be shocked if he wins in an upset.:toney:toney:toney:toney

    I really like Troyanovsky, but given his age he really needs to get some decent opponents in the ring if he's gonna have a chance of making a mark in the division.

    Unfortunately I'm unable to watch video at the moment (among other hardware and software problems) which is somewhat spoiling my appreciation of your first class threads (and the sport in general) but nonetheless, keep up the good work.:good

    It is not chronological age that matters but mileage and wear and tear on the body. Guys have won the Olympic marathon at age 34. I remember seeing a guy do just that. I think men hit harder in their 30's also. Olympic hammer throwers reach their peak of strength in their late 30's. Reflexes start to erode a bit but not that much. This guy looks real dangerous.

    One of those beautiful 'right on the button' KOs - Troyanovsky's not one of my favourite fighters but is certainly extremely competent - a quality workman but lacking elite intangibles IMO.

    Still he's one of the guys who should be hanging about at either the LW or possibly LWW (- though I can't see the rationale for moving up unless he can't make LW any more) top ten as a dangerous contender.

    Needs to start picking up the pace a little I think.

    Nonetheless my pet boxrec warrior tells me that he's won every one one of his LW fights by KO, and 2 of his 3 UDs have been at Welter (the 3rd being at 140).

    Pretty impressive, but let's see him in with someone really challenging now. When you reach 20 (17) - 0 it's time to take the plunge.:bbb
