Oh dear. The Gerald McClellan mark 2 didn't turn up did he? Billy Joe Saunders proved that amateur and professional experience and ability wins fights.
A split decision was poor, Eubank landed about 10 rabbit punches, bur the best man won. How many times was Eubank spun into the ropes? 5? 10?
Hype doesn't win fights. 9-3 baby!

Billy Joe Saunders has enough in his locker to win a world title aswell. he dont beat the best. but he can pick and choose his way to the title.

Saunders would certainly be backable against Lee or Korobev. Big fan of Billy Joe, even more so for showing the most arrogant toss pot in British boxing up tonight.
Get the frozen peas on ya face Eubank you arrogant brat!

Go on then, shame us both and give Saunders credit for winning as underdog against the most hyped prospect since Calzaghe. No? Oh dear. Dry your eyes mate!

Respect to Saunders for what? For beating a decent, talented fighter with or for beating a talentless hype-job?

in my opinion both boxers were better than i thought...

Eubank proved he is at Euro level

BJS proved he can fight 12 full rounds ,dug deep..

great domestic fight ,well done to both

I didn't even make a prediction on the fight and if I did and was right I wouldn't come on here and make a thread basically congratulating myself LOL you total ******

Saunders won SD against a "Hype Job" according to you, so what would I be actually congratulating him on if I did?

Saunders got a decision in a close fight and good luck to him, he was very generous to Jr after and promised a rematch and Jr was very generous in return. Two young men acting like gentlemen after a heated build up so I have nothing but praise for them both.

Said it for a long time that I like them both, both young British and hopefully both to on to win many titles.

    Your comments are embarrassing.

That doesn't make sense or answer the question. Are you saying Saunders deserves respect for beating a decent fighter or for beating a bum?

Also who/how many people actually said he was the second coming of Sugar Ray?

Thirdly I already said in another thread Eubank Jr was over-hyped by some.

Big respect for Saunders, taking a dangerous fight he didnt have to take.
Saunders has probably been too fair to Chris Jnr in giving him a shot at the British, Commonwealth and European titles and then saying after that if he won a world title, he would defend against him.
I was never convinced about Saunders and although still undecided about Jnr, nervously picked him to beat Saunders (not a confident pick).
Still Saunders deserves full respect and credit for what he has done in his career and for taking a fight he didnt have to and winning.
Saunders last 4 opponents have been undefeated fighters.
    Credit to Saunders

And countless uppercuts and won the majority of rounds six through twelve. Giving away the first five and poor/no corner advice early on lost him the fight.

Get rid of pops and move forward. Saunders chin is proven granite now though.

Fair play to Saunders. I picked Eubank to win , but billy Joe is better than I thought, fought smart and with grit and got the job done.

Definitely deserves respect for hanging in there and firing back as well when Eubank thought all he had to was walk him down.
