Otherwise the bum D. Wilson destroyed Briggs in 1996.

Yeah after rethinking things a bit, George Foreman did a lot more work post age 40 than Vitali did. I'll also ad that Klitscko was only off for four years and not ten the way that Foreman was. I will point out however that some of the men you listed weren't ranked as highly as you put down. Adilson Rodriguez wasn't ranked by the ring when Foreman fought him and I think the WBC had him right around #9. I don't think Stewart was ranked anymore either. But then again, if we're honest, men like Manuel Char and a 40 year old Briggs wouldn't have been within screaming distance of any sort of rating had they been fighting in the early to mid 90's. But nevertheless his record still beats the **** out of Vitali's at that age.

 

Do you really think Vitali losses to Morrison and Briggs?

Do you think he gets rocked by a journeyman like Lakusta, gets a lucky call vs Schultz and Stewart and barely defeats Saverese?

If you do then YES, it seals the deal.

The real answer is Vitali mops the floor with them, and seldom losses a round.

 

He was green because he had never fought a legit contender and was only about 24 or 25 (not looking that up). He still won.

Foreman went to 49 becoming the HW Champ along the way.

Vitali only went to 41 and refused to fight his mandatory Bermane Stiverne.

 

Completely and utterly irrelevant.

You can't rate him for what he could have done.

Only what he did do and that wasn't very much.

 

And let it be known , Charr was unranked and unheard of when Vitali plucked him from obscurity.
