:yep That's exactly why I think people had it clearly for Saunders...Eubank lunging in and swinging wildly..TRUE but STILL he came with the better shots in many rounds. You got fooled too much by his sluggishness. Also, maybe fooled by the british commentary.
Is there any statistics out there ?

Anyway this was my scorecard RbR:
    1. S (clear)
    2. S (clear)
    3. S (close)
    4. E (clear)
    5. S (close)
    6. E (clear)
    7. E (close)
    8. E (clear)
    9. E (clear)
    10. S (clear)
    11. E (close)
    12. E (clear)

Better shots? He had one shot: the uppercut.

And actually I think the commentary was overegging Eubank massively.

One uppercut = 1 shot, many uppercuts = many shots :patsch

Had 115-113 Saunders, BJS had at least 5 rounds which he won clearly, hard to see how the one judge had it 116-113 to Eubank.

I'm not sure why more isn't being made of Saunders' constant holding and the referee buying Saunders time in the last round when he was out on his feet

    Yeah, Eubank holding and hitting...

Just watched it again...God knows how people scored this for Eubank. Clear win for Saunders.

People think Eubank won that fight??? There are too many people smoking crack recreationally these days :yikes:rasta:rasta

I really wanted Eubank to win, I bought into all the "in sparring he's great" hype, so I was gutted to see that Eubank didnt live up to expectations, but just because I wanted him to win doesnt mean he did. Saunders won. Get over it :thumbsup

Eubank did not win! It should have never been a split decision! Please don't even try to argue the fact

7-5 to Saunders. Saunders got careless and gave Afew away. Far better fighter than eubank

I had it 7 rounds to BJS.

I was wrong about Eubank and the fight itself was broken into 2 parts. 1st half Billy Joe boxing from a game plan and putting rounds in the bank. 2nd half Eubank loading up with big shots. I allways thought Eubank would do that in the first 6 rounds.

Shocking he let the 1st half of the fight slip like that. No combos no feints no jabs. Thought Eubank did have the odd moment of success with body shots he needs to work on that.

Credit to BJS took some decent digs think he would beat Andy Lee and would stop him.

With Eubank needs some decent domestic dust ups Ryder Blackwell Spike. And he needs to work on closing the distance abd setting his shots up not lunging

Good fight though nice to see Eubank going for broke

7-5 in rounds to BJS for me clearer rounds won by him and overall crisper work.

    Jr started way too slowly.

worrying thread,BJS,all round boxing skills, slickness and creditable chin won him the bout.I thought Eubank would win and he certainly didn't disgrace himself just showed a lack of experience at this level.A good fight which neither of these lads lost in overall career terms.

    6-5-1 Saunders

    115-114

and that's coming from a Eubank fan he threw away the first 5 rounds and that cost him the fight, while he might not of dominated Saunders totally but if he pressed the attack earlier
he definitely could of won a 115-113 type decision.

Had it 6 all but Saunders should have been deducted at least a point for holding. Instead Franks bought referee was there to help Billy get the win
