The sport needs the super fight now. The Floyd camp should stop dodging the fit and ready Manny. The promoters have to step aside and let the fans see the SUPER FIGHT ! :happy:happy

how is it needed? who gives a ****? boxing is a corrupt sport where all kinds of screwed up things happen and people look the other way...that's why pac and fmj will never fight. that's what you get in a sport where there is no integrity or no standards or no rules...i mean, this is a sport where a guy refused to take a blood test for ped's for 5 years...and he was allowed to do it with no repercusssions...and NOW you think it's all of a sudden gonna act right? take my advice, you're dreaming...forget pac vs fmj....just enjoy whatever fights they put on for as long as this sport survives and learn to stfu.

So Jenna J. asked the question
"Do you think your son wants to fight Pacquiao now just to get it over with?"

Floyd Mayweather Sr.: "I’m looking at the situation and it’s not exactly clear what’s happening with Floyd but I’ll tell you this right here, I’m pretty sure if there’s fight,
    This content is protected
Floyd, at the end of the day, what he decides to do and what he wants to do, it’s on him. All I can do is sit back and look."

If Floyd Mayweather Jr. (and Sr.) is so certain of a victory... then why dont they make the fight happen?

Floyd wants winner of fight with Pacquiao to get 20% more in rematch

Is Floyd being generous to Pacquiao? Since there will be a rematch if Pacquiao wins (rematch clause).

AUSTRALIAN promoter and TV and radio host Peter Maniatis believes that pressure from CBS, Showtime and HBO Sports will prompt undefeated pound-for-pound No.1 Floyd Mayweather Jr. to battle Fighter of the Decade Manny Pacquiao.

Maniatis, who was in Macau for Pacquiao’s one-sided demolition of previously undefeated World Boxing Organization light welterweight champion Chris Algieri, said he learned that both sides are talking and that the purse split stands at $100 million for Mayweather and $60 million for Pacquiao, with Manny’s handlers saying they are wiling to take less.

Maniatis told the Manila Standard/Viva Sports that with a slice of the pay-per-view, both fighters are expected to rake in additional big money.

At the same time, Maniatis said Mayweather, who reportedly demanded a rematch clause initially, “now wants the winner of their first fight to get an additional 20 percent in a rematch,” obviously believing he would beat Pacquiao.

Only from 1 source so far:

of course you won't hear any direct quote from floyd (or his team). he wants to keep it silent. if any of his men would leak any info, he will fire them lol

Having a rematch clause in a contract is fine, what is'nt fine is to have financial details of that rematch allready signed, it just sounds and looks so corrupt.

the additional 20% condition in the rematch is somewhat surprising

if floyd wins, does it means he takes 82.5 to 17.5 split in the rematch?

if pac wins then pac takes 57.5 to 42.5 split in the rematch

is this floyd's way to limit pac's split in case pac wins?

(current rumoured split is 62.5 to 37.5, that's $100 million to floyd and $60 million to pac)
