Gee I don't know. What great fighter would have gotten knocked out by Al Iovino? Oh that's right! Henry Armstrong.....
EVERYBODY supports my opinion that Liston is a top 20 ATG. NOBODY supports your opinion. Even if they didn't support my opinion, that wasn't the question. I just told you to tell the forum your top 20. They don't have to disagree or agree.
Doesn't matter. Your point was that if someone gets KO'd by a bum then they're worthy of scorn. My Armstrong-Iovino example proves you wrong. Or is this something else you'll not be man enough to admit? Was this another "mistake of memory"?
no, my point was that liston did absolutely nothing in his career besides beating a fragile lhw and a bum with a left hook, plus he lost by ko against a bum. armstrong proved his great class in tons of fights(very good fights, even if he had some defeat), bad example my little simpleton, liston has no mercy because his career was mediocre.
I cannot fathom not having Liston top 20. You can say much of his competitionw as weak. Though that is also a charge leveled at virtually every HW, & it is very hard to find great fighters in their primes to beat. But it has SOME truth to it. Yet if we consider his overall record & head to head, I would think it controversial & could hear arguments on either side if he is top 10, no way top 20. This should be a poll.
Foreman: They all ran, Ali just lay on the ropes. Frazier, he thought he was tough but he ended up running. Sonny Liston, he was the only one that pushed me back.
