    Floyd trying to get in the 130-180 mill range for the rematch. I bet the first fight does over 3 mill buys and the rematch close to 4 mill. He is looking to go out with a bang. Floyd won't give a **** about the 2nd fight as he is retiring anyways.

    Some woefully poor overly-complicated maths there.

    Match 1;

    Floyd 60% ($100m)
    Pac 40% ($60m)

    If the winner gets an additional 20% in a rematch, that means...

    In the event of a Mayweather win;

    Floyd 80%
    Pac 20%

    Pac win;

    Floyd 40%
    Pac 60%

    That seems like a totally fair way to work things to me. I'd be surprised if there was a rematch in the event Mayweather beats Pac anyway.

    It only make sense for Mayweather to wait until his deal w showtime is up. Then he will make the two networks bid and Mayweather will cash out and retire.

    the 20% deal can be interpreted 2 ways.
    1. winner gets 20% of other guys current purse for the rematch.
    or
    2. winner earns 20% more than loser in rematch.

    while it hasnt been confirmed, im willing to bet its more likely option 1
    cause its not a 60/40 split there is an extra 5% diff each way, and thats a lot when talking this kind of money

    The only problem with those rematch terms is if Mayweather happens to win an honestly close decision.
    If that were to happen, I doubt very seriously that Pacquiao would give the go ahead for a rematch under the terms that he'd get a 17% cut. :lol:

    The fight will never come close to breaking 3 million. The last 2 Marquez wins clearly established that.
    You combine that with the fact that since KTFO6 Pacquiao has'nt looked nearly as dominant as in the past, and I think even the casuals know they'll be buying into a mismatch.

    this is just news floating around (a leak) and not much details.

    i just assume that winner gets additional 20% share and loser gets 20% less

    current split/sharing floating around is 62.5% or $100 million for floyd and 37.5% or $60 million for pac

    the new sharing in the rematch will be:

    if floyd wins, 82.5% (62.5+20) for floyd, 17.5% (37.5-20) for pac

    if pac wins, 57.5% (37.5+20) for pac, 42.5% (62.5-20) for floyd

    floyd winning this fight is the most probable outcome. he is the favorite to win this

    assuming the same pot ($160 million) is available for the rematch, 17.5% of $160M is $28 million. still a lot of money

    knowing pac, i think he will pursue a rematch with floyd if he loses but can't force floyd to fight him again since he don't have a rematch clause (only floyd has rematch clause). heck pac pursued a rematch 5th fight with jmm even that he was ko'ed cold by jmm :lol:

    I've always thought they would fight because Mayweather knows pac is the last one of his era and why cash that check so fast when everything you make after that wont compare. yes fight isnt signed but it sure seems like there actually talking..

    Anyhow even back in 09 I've always thought no matter what there will be 2 fights if not 3. Back in 09-10 I gave Pac like a %2- chance (hella lower now) but Pac to do enough, maybe win 3-4 rounds to just get a rematch.

    I dont know about you guys but I smell a gurantee 2 fights next year even if Pac gets outclassed. thats his last 2 fights for showtime, Call that a wrap!

    Just how i see it. I mean honstely theres nobody else to fight after Pac so why not fight him twice, Showtime was probably promised this behind the scenes and we just dont know.

    Crazy how im thinking 2 fights before even 1 :patsch But i guess Im hoping for the best.

    You think no matter what there will be a rematch??

    Hold up though.

    Mayweather has to sign that contract.

    I don't think Mayweather is going to want the rematch, but he might. It just depends.

    Can Mayweather keep moving for 12 rounds?

    At the end of the day though, it's not like Pacquaio is the damn Terminator. I mean, Bradley fought the man twice.

    I don't understand why Floyd is so scared of this man.

    I think when Floyd loses the first time and takes a slight ass whippin, he'll realize it's not that bad, and why not do a rematch.

    But we got to get the man in the ring the first time before we start talkin rematches.
