Why do people criticize Wilder yet praise Anthony Joshua?

You guys say Wilder is unproven, but at least Wilder has had over 30 KOs. Joshua has only had 10 KOs against equally bad if not worse competition.

Why do people always say Wilder is gonna get KTFO as soon as he steps up, yet act like Anthony Joshua is already heir to Wlad's throne?

Not hating on Joshua, I think the kid has potential, but why the double standard? :think

Joshua is absolute hyped garbage. He'll get exposed as soon as he fights someone at the caliber of a Malik.

Fact: Kelvin Price/Audley/Liakhovich/Scott were people who many predicted would knock out "Glass jaw Wilder" and not only did that not happen, Wilder knocked them all out in devastating fashion.

Fact is: Wilder is on the brink of boxing royalty/and being crowned world champion.

January 17th will be the dawning of a new HW era. The era of the BRONZE BOMBER

I was at the Ruddock vs Sconiers, Mesi vs Cooper match. Sconiers took some hellacious booming shots from Ruddock and never went down. How Sconiers knocked Wilder down is beyond me, as he had virtually no punching power to be seen back when I watched him, and even less skill.

I think Wilder just might be smuggling a little china in that chinny chin chin of his.

Who was impressed by Wilders wins over Firtha or Gavern? Wilder will go down as the biggest hype job in the history of the sport and is going to be knocked out early by Stiverne. He epitomises the state of American heavyweight boxing at the moment, as in its a joke. Joshua is getting well over hyped, people who assume he is a shoe in for the next lineal champion are way off the mark. That being said, whilst I wouldn't say I have being impressed by his can crushing, I do rate him highly as a prospect and he has all the physical tools and the mind set to go all the way and I expect him to go far.

Both are being over hyped to be fair.

But there is a difference. Wilder's progress has been painfully slow and he has very obviously been protected. The knockdowns against very low level journeymen combined with the refusal for his team to face any decent contenders who simply didn't dive at the first opportunity suggest they are protecting him for a reason. He has potential but there are alarm bells ringing.

Joshua has been moved along at a fair pace. If he wins his next fight against Johnson you could argue he has a resume as good as Wilder's despite only being a pro for a little over a year and having his 11th fight. But when we speak about AJ we are only talking about potential again and some people have gotten carried away with that.
