Joshua just finished his 1st year as a pro and is already fighting at same level with Wilder without showing too much flaws so far.

1 year pro and compare that to his record: Its very solid. Wilder pro since 2008... You dont see the difference?

If you think how much Joshua has done in one year, where he will be after 6 years (Wilder time as a pro)? Well you know the answer and thats one reason why Wilder is critized and Joshua is not. His career is moving fast, no babysteps

Joshua is younger that's all, but as of now Joshua has failed everytime he stepped up, he lost world final, lost in olympica a few times.. Wilder is wild hard punching and very unproven , but more proven than Joshua, so so far wilder >>> joshua .

Joshua is younger and moving on with a significantly higher pace. Wilder is fighting his real challengede at the age of 29 which seems a little late for me given how long he's been around. Technically, I would consider Scott a very good opponent as well but he decided to take a dive for some reason.

Oh wait you're obviously Iceman's alt, because out of all the posts here, you only replied to me. Did I hurt your b!tch ass feelings Iceman?

By the way I'm reading the other replies, just decided to respond to a direct personal attack from a guy who's obviously butthurt (you) about something.

Joshua appears to have more talent, better technique. He's also built much better for the HW division. Wilder is top heavy, upper body of a HW with the legs of a cruiserweight, if he gets dinged on the chin there is not much supporting him from going down.

Joshua has the better technique. And at this point he's fighting the same level of competition as Wilder (thought without the 30 KOs).

Wilder has been pro a long time and has made huge improvements but seems to retain glaring weaknessess. Other the other hand, he has some natural athletic gifts that Joshua lacks so you never know..

Both are a work in progress.

Wilder was very lucky to win his bronze medal, i felt he got a gift in the quarter finals and he only had to beat two very poor africans to get the medal. His amateur career was pretty poor and never beat anyone decent apart from a robbery on home soil against Rakhim, Add to him getting sparked out by a russian cruiserweight and the fact he only competed at 90kg dont help his cause

Joshua was a great amateur with very little time and experince, say what you want about his robberies at the olympics but his silver medal at the world amatuers in only his 2nd major tournament was incredible and he could have won it ,the final was 50-50

Wilder opposition has been abysmal ,its taken him 6 years and 32 fights to get to this level.

Joshua is arguably at the same level that Wilder is now after 1 year and 10 fights

    theres your big differances

Because Wilder was facing top 50 boxers after 30 fights.

He refused to step-up his competition due to his glass chin.

Pulev had 20 fights and faced Wlad.

Big Josh will have less than 20 fights before fighting for a World title.

Some of you are mental! Wilder has had 32 professional bouts so he should have faced the best of the best by now, he should have challenged for a world title not long ago and he is much older than Anthony Joshua. Joshua has been a pro 13 months give or take a few weeks and he has faced almost as good competition than that of Deontay Wilder. I like Wilder too I think he is very exciting but he should really have fought better competition by now and should have stepped up to world level after 25 fights. Another way to look at it is Wilders last opponent as Jason Gavern who is a tough guy but in my opinion a lesser standard than Michael Sprott who is Anthony Joshua's most recent opponent.

Can any Wilder fans name a single opponent of Wilders that Joshua wouldn't knock out? I think when you consider the age difference, and fact that he is in his first year as a pro with less than a third of the fights, you have your answer.
