Not a thread to discuss Floyd vs Manny, so let's try and stick to the topic of boxing in reference to cortez.

I give this guy a f, he totally screwed the fight. After Ortiz head butted Floyd, he points Floyd to the corner while holding Ortiz's arm to start the point deduction. Here is where he makes the first mistake. Floyd is walking around freely not at his corner and even coming close enough to bump gloves with Ortiz.

Second, he dose not even send Ortiz to his corner before resuming the fight. After the point deduction he says "let's go" and let's go of Ortiz extremely close to floyd instead of assuring both fighters are at their corners.

Third, he never calls time in, he says "let's go" and then he is off distracted while ortiz is trying to make out with floyd. I'm not a 100% sure on the rules but if a time out is called a reff has to call time in and also signal it (from watching other fights).

I don't blame Floyd , these gurs are fighters and Floyd was just hit with a head but, I would be mad as well. Its up to the reff to control them and assure they are apart when the fight is not in motion.

Ortiz had no chance any way, but it's probably where he got the last bit of heart taken out of him. Glad a rematch was never made but cortez ran this like a circus.

    Rofl what a joke.

Ortiz made the hand gesture for the fight to go on, Ortiz wanted to make out with Floyd.

Floyd clocked him (Legitimately). Deal with it.

Why do I get the impression that you would love for Floyd to brick in your mouth?

You crybabies need to get over it.

It was all Ortiz's fault, he was the one who didn't protect himself at all times.

The fight was to go on, he didn't want to fight, he wanted to hug and kiss.

Floyd wanted to fight and therefore, hit him with the left hook/right hand.

You babies need to learn the rules of boxing.

Cortez MADE the hand gesture for them to resume fighting.

    Ortiz didn't want to FIGHT

This got way off topic, the purpose of the thread was to discuss cortez. I don't blame floyd for hitting him. Cortex miss handled the whole thing and may of gave anpreception that the fight was on when he had clearly not properly started the fight. Both fighters should of been at their corner when fight was resumed. Instead ortiz turned into a tree and got the hots for floyd.

Terrible fight. Ortiz seemed happy because he knew he was going to lose, and the sucker punch KO gave him the possibility for another million dollar paycheck in a rematch.

However, for someone who calls himself "TBE", seemed like a cheap way to get a win.
