I consider Stiverne Hatian for the most part. That's where he's from, and Hati deserves to take credit for him.
Perez, and Spilzka are solid wins against top 20-25ish fighters, and are not bums. No other top 10 HW has such solid wins, is on a winning streak.......and is a domestic US product.
You can discredit those opponnents if you like, but what other US hw is actually ready???
Wlad was determined to fight a US hw, and Jennings for what it's worth..........is the most deserving one.

Stiverne's win over Arreola trumps anything on Jennings' resume. Stiverne is the best HW in the Western Hemisphere.

I think being a good boxer is more important than being an "athlete".

I agree but I'm talking about US hw's. I would make Stiverne a slight favorite over Jennings ATM.

I do see where you are coming from, but I would also add Sam Peter.

He would have if Arreola didn't destroy him, Wlad pawned Banks twice trying to set up Mitchell as an opponent.

A tuneup of sorts, for American fans, leading up to the winner of Wilder -Stirverne, perhaps with Fury meshed inbetween.

Go and name other athletic heavyweight fighter of Wlad's era. OK, Joshua, but he's just a prospect. Who else?
