Current Wlad would have dominated any of Lewis's past opponents.

Current Wlad would easily beat any of Lewis's past opponents including: Tua, Briggs, Bruno, Mercer, STDs positive Tommy Morrison, post-prison shell of Tyson, old Holyfield with a heart condition, mentally-ill Golota, Francois Botha, young green Vitali who had no championship experience, Oliver crackhead McCall, etc.

People say that Lewis can beat any of Wlad's opponents, but who did Lewis beat that the Wlad of today would not have beaten? Lewis's resume is very overrated and most fighters he beat were decades past their primes (tyson, holyfield) or had serious personal life problems (mccall, golota, morrison) when he fought them.

Wlad at least is fighting young undefeated challengers in their primes and taking away their 0's. (pulev, povetkin, etc)

Btw Wlad destroyed Rahman who KTFO Lewis. :deal

Most likely as he is seeming to get better with age.

"Young green Vitali who had no championship experience" had 34 fights, was almost 32 years old and had fought in 4 WBO title fights, as well as being a former world military boxing champion as an amateur

I'm pretty sure Morrison would have been tested and had a negative result otherwise he would not have been allowed to box.

    There is truth here.
Lewis fought a lot of "name" opponents that were shells of their earlier incarnations. It looks good on paper but in reality Tyson was beyond shot, McCall was on drugs and should not have been allowed to fight, Holyfield was faded and who knows what was going on with mental case Golota.
Wlad for all the criticism may not be fighting guys as good as some of those listed at their best but he is fighting guys at their absolute peak for years now. It is very very impressive.

Maybe he would have, it's irrelevant though because Lewis actually DID beat those opponents and therefore has a better resume in a stronger era. Wlad is still an ATG heavy but Lewis is a few notches above him.

    Unlikely.

Wlad was all over the canvas from a lesser version of Tua.

I'd pick MaCall , Mercer, Vitali and Holyfield to beat Wlad.

Wlad and Lennox are probably the 2 greatest HW's ever, especially H2H.of course this is HW so everybody has puncher chance, but these 2 are giant man with great skill sets.

Wlad would have run trough Lewis resume and Lewis havr run trough Wlad resume.

Lewis was all over the canvas from McCall. Wlad would easily outbox Oliver. Mercer nearly defeated Lewis and Lewis never granted him a rematch. (Wlad dominated an older Mercer) Holyfield after losing to Lewis lost to Ibragimov and Byrd Wlad dominated both his conquerors a total of three times easily.

Fact is they both are/were dominant champions. I prefer Wlad's consistency over prime fighters but Lewis did fight in a better era.

Mercer was finished then. The Mercer who took Lewis to the wire , would have been too much for Wlad to handle.

MaCall was a better fighter than Peter and Wlad wasn't easily able to out box him.

A true champion takes an immediate rematch and wins. Wlad never did that in his life , against lesser fighters no less.
