Viloria is not Hawaiian, he was born and raised there. Also, Hawaii isn't technically America, it is America.

you're the perfect example of why Charles Darwin came up with that theory..
black ass APE, yeah that's what you are. You did not evolve that much. Sorry APE. I pity your stature.

    Great thread, Prodigy...

Lot of good fighters in that "contender" tier.

Always wished Nietes would get proper appreciation, even if only on paper if people don't want to be bothered to actually watch the fights.

And boy, how Mercito Gesta has fallen. I never saw much in him, but I'd have expected him to notch a couple more somewhat-relevant wins compared to what he has done. He was some folks' "Prospect of the Year" for 2011.

I'm excited to see the return of Denver Cuello. I don't think there has ever been a more obvious case of an internal injury than in that fight with Xiong. And I still only had Xiong barely winning in the end.

Pagara the younger one is very good. I don't know where they go from here. Hopefully they don't rush the kid.

Lloyd Jardeliza, he's 6-1-3 (5 KO) now, he got stopped by journeyman Jimmy Aducal nine months ago, last round too.

I remember that Cuello fight well, I was frustrated the whole time because Denver wouldn't throw his left hand (I think it was his left), not knowing he was injured.

Jardeliza has a 30% draw rate! That's crazy high, though it should drop over time. (you would think!)

For the record, going through pages 1-3 of the highest rated boxers in every single division on boxrec from Heavy down through Straw ((top 75 names in each)), the only person who comes near having 30% of their bouts ended in draws is another Filipino, ironically. Fajardo conqueror Benezer "The Bulldozer" Alazod (whose nickname ought to be "Mr. Draw" or "The Cactus") has 5 in 25, making 20%.

Three of those draws are technical draws caused by cuts. He also has one TD victory and one TKO victory - caused by cuts. He also has a bunch of his wins and losses by MD or SD.

Nearly his entire career has been contests that were closely fought and/or influenced by cuts.

Has there been a Filipino HW, like ever???? South-East Asians are smaller than their relatives up north, but I would think that they could at least produce a few higher weight fighters. I've seen a fair amount of Korean, Chinese, and Japanese fighters at higher weights(not talking just boxing here) but never any south-east Asians. The largest native muay thai fighters I've seen have been 5'10-11.

Neither apple fell anywhere near Uncle Gerry, but considering he is arguably top 5 all-time p4p in the Philippines (somehow Boxrec puts him all the way down at #20 :blood) that is nothing to be ashamed of.

    They're both okay. Not special.
