    Good post.

    Agree with it all.

And because of what you said, it's tough to say that if he fought Wladimir's same long resume that the same thing wouldn't have happened.

Co-sign. Lewis was great when he was disciplined and concentrating. But often through his career he lacked focus, he was lazy in the gym sometimes.

If Lewis had 66 fights he would have 4-5 losses. Not because he was beaten by a better man, but simply because Lewis got lazy, arrogant and undisciplined.

lewis mifght have lost his concentration at some point and fallen to one of the srgonest ones (eg haye) BUT he wouldhave immediately rematched him and destroyed him.

since lewis has no brother to help him defend his title for him, and to be fair, nor has no need for one.

Leiw is all around better than Wlad. That's not a knock against Wlad. Lewis was just that great.

NOT Haye. He MIGHT have lost it vs Corrie, that's about it.

    But I doubt it.

Haye is quicker than McCall or Rahman, and has more than enough power to KO Lewis if he lands flush. Unlikely, but not impossible. The same could have been said about McCall, and Rahman though as far as their chances of scoring an upset went.

Haye is a bum and the world knows it.

Lewis would be the heavy favourite vs any of those men and I do believe that he would have been far more serious in this era than the last.

He was not one of the biggest stars in terms of ppv attractions.

I do believe he WOULD be in this era.

Lewis is a better version of Wlad, significantly.

Someone who could match Wlad fighting on the outside, and someone who could destroy you on the inside as well. His uppercuts were vicious. :admin:dead

What does he do better than Wlad (besides throwing the uppercut)?

Wlad has much better footwork, defense, chin (?), speed, power, technically superior, taller, strength, ring generalship and heart.

Of course he would be the heavy favorite, no ****.... But he was a heavy favorite against Rahman, and McCall wasn't he?

That's the point of this thread.. Yes he's more than capable of beating Wlads entire resume, but an upset or two along the way just like with McCall, and Rahman isn't unlikely either.

Steward himself said that Wlad was better than Lewis in certain areas, and while similar(Stewards influence obviously) they're different fighters.

You see the problem with Lewis was that when he was the heavy betting favorite then he became lazy in the gym, he became arrogant and sloppy.

If you put in Lennox with a good fighter who Lennox thinks can beat him then you get a focused Lewis who will dominate.

You put in Lennox with a semi-skilled guy who Lennox thinks he will beat with ease then he will not take him seriously. The result was he went life and death with opponents he should have completely dominated.

No, they're very very similar in many aspects.

But Lewis is the far better fighter and would have knocked Wlad out in devastating fashion. He had traits that Wlad only wishes he has.

Lewis is the far more complete fighter than Wlad is.

He's a better inside fighter, that's it. Wlad has the better jab, straight right, left hook, footwork. Arguably the better chin as he's never been knocked down for the count like Lennox has
