Your badly mistaken. Roman martinez was the WBO SFW champ when burns de-throned him.

granted he fought for the 'interim' lightweight title v katsidis and was then granted the full title outisde of the ring.

As has already been stated - your post, quoted, is 100% factually inaccurate.

This specific post from ScottishBoxing makes ZERO reference to the LW title.

In fact in a subsequent post ScottishBoxing is magnanimous to acknowledge that Burns did win a vacant title at LW.

I'll save you the bother of looking up the definition of magnanimous and let's just say it's something you'll never be.

 

Semantics. Fact is Burns was a paper champion at LW and lost to the first world class fighter he fought.

I'm not debating Roman Martinez, I'm debating Burns' disgraceful LW defences. If you want to discuss those, we can. If not, have a good day.

 

I'm not sure Burns deserves a big fight after his recent fights, but he's a "sort of" name so feeding him to a fighter in America shouldn't be a problem. If its anybody half decent and he continues to be trained by Tony Sims he's losing badly.
