    Now now now....

Imo saunders beat eubank by 5rounds. And he did similar to ryder. both ryder and eubanks got power and strength, ryder is a good inside fighter as is eubank. eubank is pretty awful from the outside, ryder is decent on the outside, Eubank has more speed, Ryder is more competent. Both look to have solid jaws. Who wins?

Ryder is a beast on the inside, he was bullying Saunders too when he got in close and he even has a better physique than Eubank IMO, you wouldn't see Eubank out muscling Ryder

Eubank spent a lot of time training and sparring in the US including at the Mayweather gym, yet IMO Ryder has the far better shoulder roll and other slick moves, he made Saunders miss wildly at times and landed great counters like Eubank kept attempting but to no avail because Eubank wasn't willing to make Saunders work early doors like Ryder was

I think this would be a cracking fight because Eubank would be in with somebody just as strong as him and who has some slick boxing skills to boot

Ryder would be a much harder fight for Eubank style-wise than Saunders because of his strength alone.

Ryder would stop Eubank. Styles make fights and Ryder is as strong as, and much more skilled than Eubank.

I really like Ryder. I liked him the first time I saw him fight. As you say, he's got some lovely slick moves and he's great on the inside. He is very strong but I'm not too sure about his power. Don't get me wrong, he has good power but if he could really bang I honestly think he could be a little bit special.

I can't remember how I scored it now but I seem to recall thinking at the time that he beat Saunders or at least deserved a draw. And I think he definitely would've won that fight had he put his foot on the gas earlier instead of holding back because he hadn't gone the full 12 round distance before. In fact, he hadn't even gone past 8 before then.

I'd fancy him to beat Eubank Jr.

No money in this fight, won't happen
Fwiw I think Ryder wins , but Ryder should focus on his world ranking as opposed to a second/third place playoff

Ryder would not stop Eubank Jnr. More like the other way around.

this is we're boxing let's itself down, with respect john Ryder I'd possibly the 5th or 6th best MW in the UK yet he's trying to get a world ranking, prove your top 2or 3 in UK fight a couple of world ranked opponents (proper ones) then you've earned the right to challenge for a world title

Agreed Billy, but all we hear nowadays is comments like "when one of us wins a world title, this is a stadium fight", or "hes not on may radar" etc etc.

I agree its a good fight, but there is simply no money in that fight at this stage (imo) and this is what talks.

the problem for eubank is that billy was a decent style for him, hed be better off taking an easier fight or two first then maybe blackwell or etches rather than ryder. he needs to figure out what hes trying to do in there first
